Impact of farmers producer's organisation on Indian farmers life

Farmer producer's organisation is a concept where like-minded people among farmers was grouped together to form FPO's through which they can not only sell their products easily to final consumers but also they earn additional income compared to sell products on their own.

In India, most of the farmers are small and marginal farmers which means they are having landholdings of 1-2 ha. They are growing crops in small piece of land seasonally, for selling their raw products they want to bring their products to mandis. It incurs additional costs for transportation and others. Instead of transport their products on their own, some farmers grouped together to transport their crops to centre, it will reduce their expenses and save little amount to farmers. The concept of FPO begins here, now a day farmers not only sell their raw products but also they are processing their grown products according to FSSAI guidelines and sell those processed products through farmers producer's organisation as a brand. It will reduce the middleman who earning more than farmer by involving negotiation with farmers and also farmers are getting additional benifits by selling products through FPO.

Farmer producer's organisation concept become intense from 2014 onwards, because government are promoting to form more FPO's. Now a days, FPO's  are producing lot of items like coconut sugar, Groundnut oil, banana chips etc. Recently central government announced to form 10000 FPO's because it generates employment opportunities and additional income support to farmers and  rural people through which they can improve their standard of living and also ministry of agriculture and farmer's welfare announced some features is being included in e-NAM that is FPO trading module through which FPO will upload pictures and quality parameters of their products which facilitates online distance bidding from collection centre, which provides opportunities for farmers to trade their products to some other part of the country through online amid lockdown due to deadly corona virus.

The government efforts to form more number of FPO is mainly for welfare of farmers.Through FPO, farmers can gets extra income and  farmers can become entrepreneurs as well.

Essay on Boosting Economic Growth of India

Boosting Economic Growth India's GDP growth rate slowed down to 5 per cent in Q1 of FY20 and is expected to be around 6 per cent or below in this financial year. As former Reserve Bank of India governor Y V Reddy mentioned recently, a combination of cyclical and structural factors have been responsible for the slowdown.  One example is the auto sector. There seems to be a collapse of aggregate demand in the economy. Global uncertainties have added to the problem.  In the last few weeks, the government has announced several measures to improve both consumption and investment in different sectors and for the economy as a whole. The announcement of reduction in corporate tax rates may help in reviving the sentiments of the private sector but the tax revenue may also decline and put pressure on fiscal deficit. These stimulus and structural measures and monetary policy may help reviving the economy to some extent in the near future. But, these measures alone may...

How to Improve Indian Financial System

How to Improve Indian Financial System India had been successful in managing the global financial crisis of 2008 but present condition of its banking sector is worst.  The reasons for this are mounting bad loans, poor accounting standards and lax supervision.  India's ratio of NPA has grown from lowest to highest in 8 years among G-20 club. The sudden rise in bad loan ratio is due to RBI strict monitoring  in recent years which was left hidden. Bad loan problem is high for SBI but private banks also have it. According to IMF Indian banks are more vulnerable to financial shocks then other emerging markets banks. Very few recommendation of Nayak Committee which was formed to suggest reforms to strengthen have been implemented even after three-and-a-half years. Government should undertake structural reforms for state-owned banks to improve Indian Financial system and boost growth and investment.
