Condition of Financial System of India
Though Indian economy managed to stay untouched during financial crises of 2008 and shown its strength to the world, but now we are facing a bigger problem. In past few years, NPA ratio increased with such a higher number.
Some reasons are bunch of bad loans, banking frauds, unsupervised banking practices etc. and as much as private banks are facing this problem, so is SBI. IMF also pointed out the condition, in its stress test.
Around four years back, on the time NDA government came into action, RBI appointed P.J. Nayak committee to checkup on the situation and recommend the possible way out, but no action was taken on the suggestions. And now, Indian banking system is proving to be the most vulnerable part of Indian Financial System.
